I’m so ready for the trilogy this Saturday!! I have to say, robots and fast cars are totally my thing. Although Resh fell asleep during her virgin transformer experience, I was still very much enthralled by my third screening of the robots and fast cars. I’m just glad that as a child, I decided that it’s the Autobots I would support and as an adult, I decided that I’d only collect Bumblebees. If not, I’d have a house filled with different models of different Autobots and Decepticons. So for the sake of my husband, it’s a good thing I made a couple of promises to myself and we all know, it’s not good to break them 🙂
After IMAX, the standard 3D version left me a little unsatisfied, which is kinda perfect for me since I still have the trilogy to look forward to. I have to say I really got lucky with how I arranged my screenings, it’s all working out. Each time I see more of what I didn’t before and left the cinemas still craving more :p
Post screening number three, I notice Soundwave a little more and like I said thank goodness I’m not allowing myself to buy anything other than Autobot Bumblebees. If not, I would be buying him especially the car version of the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG. Sweet sweet car!! I’m still more a camaro or volkswagon type of girl but hey, I do have a fantasy or two driving a sleek Merc SLS AMG on a freeway. That said, I do miss Soundwave as the little cassette recorder. Something seems missing that he changes into a car, even if it’s an incredibly hot car.
The other Autobots that I’ll be dreaming about tonight is Ironhide. MORE SPOILERS!!
To the people who know me, they know I’m a green recycling earth sustaining lovin’ type of girl so I actually battle a constant internal quagmire about my desires for owning and driving fast cars or trucks. That explains my attraction for Optimus and Ironhide
Honestly, I’d probably never ever find it in my real life to own a vehicle that drinks fuel like these trucks or cars do but in my little fantasy Carlene’s world, right next my very own camaro Bumblebee, Ironhide would be a robot I’d like to have in my garage too 🙂 So it literally broke my heart when Ironhide met his demise in this installment.
Nuff said for the 3D version, IMAX is the way to go for this franchise. Bigger just allows you to see everything that much more clearly. My little wish now is for the toys to come with sound effects 🙂 That’s the other thing about these movies, without the audio engineers, the CG would fall flat too. It’s a complete experience that I can’t wait to go through again for the trilogy 🙂
Off to dream about my heros now.
