Who would have thought that I would be able to sustain a blog for 3 years? Not me for sure. Mainly because I thought I’d get bored writing and my family and friends would get bored reading after a while. Lo and behold, that didn’t quite happen 🙂 Well, most likely because we live in a world where it’s easier to keep in touch online, not everyone lives in Singapore anymore and instead of sending emails out to love ones about the same thing, they all just check out my blog.
So after 3 years, it’s still here 🙂
Nope, I’m not some trend setter with hundreds of readers curious to find out what I think and what I’ve been up to. It’s just a simple way for people who actually care about me to stay in touch with my antics. Just the way I like it 🙂
Sure, every now and then when someone I don’t know leaves a nice comment, I’m pleasantly surprised. On the whole, I prefer that it’s people I know and love who read my blog. There’s a part of me that gets a little freaked out that a stranger could possibly know a little too much about me. At the same time, that’s the very same cathartic reason I write so that I may possibly reach out to someone and maybe just maybe, have given them a reason to smile for the day.
So thank you very much to everyone who reads, yes, especially my dear family and friends who check in every now and then, some even on a daily basis. Thank you for keeping this blog alive … more than that thank you for constantly reminding me that there’s so much I can be grateful for.
Happy Wednesday!
