Off to India

I’ve been telling everyone that I’m going to Chandigarh but in fact I’ll be something like 2hours away from India’s most organised city. In an area called Nawan Nagar. You can’t find it on a map but it’s in the Panchkula, Haryana area, which you can find on the map. So it’s safe to say where I’ll be heading it’s going to be pretty rural. I’m not sure what to expect or if I’ll even last 8 weeks yet strangely, I’m terribly excited.

I haven’t done anything like that my whole life. Go outside my comfort zone and push my own limits. It is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time now though. I remember having graduated from uni and wanting to do something like this but I knew my parents wouldn’t have it. Now in my 30s, my parents would prefer I wouldn’t do something like this either but they also know that I’ve gain a little bit more in the last decade or so :p It also helps that my husband is going to be with me and we actually know people where we’re going. So I was real thankful at how my calmly my parents took to my plans about going. I could sense their worry and wondered will parents ever stop worrying about their children … I think, no. That made me realise I do have the coolest parents around šŸ™‚ They didn’t appear too worried and calmly discussed the things I needed to do to get ready.

I’ll be flying off this Friday night and I’m not sure if I’ve got everything … like I said, I’ve never done anything like this before so I can only plan as far as my imagination and common sense take me to. I’m bringing my computer with me and will try and blog from there but I’m not sure what the schedule will be like and if connections in rural India are any reliable. So if you don’t hear from me from 17th January, don’t worry, I’ll be back 14th March with updates galore.

Till then, everyone take care and be safe!!

P/S: I’ve scheduled 8 random post that I’ve done up, they’ll come on every Wednesday so you, my lovely family and friends, won’t get bored when you check in šŸ™‚ See you all in 8 weeks!!
