There’s discussion, very very initial discussions about my husband and me getting our own place. It’s the next stage of ‘growing up’ that in all honesty, I’m a tad scared of :p I have issues with long term commitments … yes, it took me a while to do the whole marriage thing so this long term mortgage with the home is a really quite scary … but that’s what grown ups do, right? So I’m sucking it up and trying to get into the swing of things π By that, I mean I’m checking out what kind of dΓ©cor I’d like to have, flooring, colours, themes … coz these are the things I can get excited about. More than all of these, I love researching storage spaces!!
The other thing I know is that I want mirrors, lots of mirrors and photos π My partner-in-crime, Daph reckons I should be looking at houses before the interiors :p I agree, totally agree but this is what will motivate me to start looking at flats. I’m hoping for one in a quiet area, close to parks where we can take walks and possibly not too far from public transport.
So while I wait for the next HDB sale thingie that they do ever so often, I’m asking around:-
- What would you do differently about your home?
- What is the best thing you did in your home?
Daph’s advice to me is make sure I have enough storage space π Totally agree with her again. No wonder we make good partners π I wish Singapore had The Container Store franchise. I love how they have a storage solution for everything and I literally mean EVERYTHING. In the US, it’s one of the stores I could spend hours in. Other than storage, what’s your advice?
