Little Girls

There’s just something about little girls that make your heart melt. Don’t get me wrong, I know lots of little guys who are complete cuddle worthy as well, real cute ones that make the perfect gentlemen … those who you hope your little girls meet and marry some day. But there’s just something about little girls 🙂 Sugar and spice?

Like my little niece, I had a visit with them last Saturday and while her brother was jumping around showing me how to play Wii, she’s watches on quietly and climbs up the couch to lie her little head on my lap. She’s game enough to put on a silly reindeer antlers (or at least I think that’s what they are) and smiles sweetly for the camera.

Then on Sunday, I met Zack and Mich for church where I met Mich’s little niece. The last time I saw her was about a year ago. She’s since grown into this cute little girl who loves being chased and thrown in the air. Her giggle was so infectious, I couldn’t help but laugh along with her. Those round eyes has this captivating effect, you can’t help but want kiss her little head, right?

And you’d reckon I’d have enough of my little girls fix but after lunch I met up with an old friend. I think I’ve known her since I was 10. It’s been a while since we last met … a really long while and in the meantime, she’s gotten married and had two very beautiful girls. I was completely enamoured with her first born who is probably the most articulate 2 and a half-year-old I’ve ever met.

I’ve had a lot of 2 year-olds tell me ‘thank you’ without prompting but she’s the first who said ‘you’re welcome’ when I said ‘thank you’ to her. We actually spent most of the afternoon chatting. Yes, imagine that having a chat with a 2 year-old. I can’t wait to spend more time getting to know her and little sister more 🙂

And I can’t be wrong, right? Look at these 3 little girls … so different yet so heart melt worthy.

I’m also sure one day I’ll post about little boys who move me too. I’ve come to realise it’s not boys or girls, I’m just taken by little children 🙂

  1. Faith has been talking about you after you left. She especially liked to say “Auntie Carlene gave me BIG present. Meimei got a small present”. Thanks for making her day, she really appreciated it especially since everyone else only had stg for the lil’ one.
