It’s a little early so he didn’t quite expect it but with friends (including the birthday boy himself) clearing annual leave, we had to make it an early birthday surprise for the one and only *drum roll* Mad Shu!!! He thought he was going for a meeting with some US company that wanted to find out about coproductions.

I’m happy to report he didn’t suspect a thing and was taken quite a back. It took him a while before he walked into the room where we promptly yelled, “SURPRISE!!”

It was a simple celebrations for a dear friend. I remember the first time I met Shu some 5 or 6 years ago, completely unassuming yet had a killer style about him 🙂 More than that, he’s funny and I can always be myself with him. I hope he knows how much he’ll be missed when he moves.

Anyway, in true Mad Shu style, it was a sugar overloaded party and here we are trying to take a group photo … ..

… … it is after all HIS birthday celebrations 🙂
